BOBBY E. ABRAMS, JR.

An academic and athletic standout at Henry Ford High School in Detroit, Michigan, earned All-State honors in football and made the honor roll all eight semesters and competed in track. He was a three-year starter as an outside linebacker for The University of Michigan, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior. That year in the game vs. Maryland, he had eight tackles, including three sacks, a fumble recovery, and a knock down pass. In four years at Michigan he played in three Rose Bowls, and a Hall of Fame Bowl. He was just getting started! Abrams went on to play for the New York Giants (one of only three rookie free agents to play for them in Super Bowl XXV), The Dallas Cowboys, the Cleveland Browns, the Minnesota Vikings, and the New England Patriots.

Before he began his pursuit of professional football, he already had aspirations to become a high school principal. He is a certified History teacher with a Bachelor in General Studies from The University of Michigan, a Master of Education from Alabama State University, and an Education Specialist in Administrator Leadership from Walden University. Mr. Abrams served as principal of Walter T. McKee Junior High School, Sidney Lanier High School, Tallassee High School, Capitol Heights Middle School, and he is currently the principal of Jefferson Davis High School. Mr. Abrams is married to his lovely wife, Stephanie, and they have three children.
